Daily Inspiration

Every weekday, I get an inspirational quote e-mailed to me from Runners World magazine.  The quote I got yesterday is one that I should have enlarged, framed, and hung in my bathroom for me to look at every morning when I wake up.

"The only disability in life is having a bad attitude."
-Oscar Pistorius

Who is Oscar Pistorius you ask?  He's the guy who ran in the Olympics and he has prosthetic legs.  I guess if he can overcome something like having no legs below his knees and he can become an olympic athlete, I think that maybe I should try and find some way to get out of this running slump that I'm finding myself in and I should just get on with it.

I haven't written anything for quite a while (It's been over four months, but who's counting?) because I have been struggling so much and I didn't want to just complain about how I'm feeling for fear of anyone telling me to just buck up and stop complaining.  But I think maybe that writing about it will help me somewhat.  So, bear with me.  I need to work my way out of this down in the dumps feeling that I have and get myself back out there and feel better about my running.

  1. You are an inspiration to many Deby, especially me...I can't seem to get back on track either. Praying you've been able to change your mindset since this posting :)
