Day 20!

Who's feeling good this morning?

I AM!

I got up and went to the Y for Group Cycle this morning.  I don't know why it took me so long to decide that I could go to that class, but I'm unhappy with myself for not giving it much of a try before a few weeks ago.  Anyway, I'm on the post-exercise high right now, feeling invigorated and ready to take on the day, and it's so great!

Today is Day 20 of the "exercise every day" plan that I'm on.
While there have been plenty of days when I wanted to not exercise, I haven't let myself quit because I absolutely hate to see good streaks end.  However, today marks the day when I really have to start doing it on my own.  There will be no more classes to go to because we're giving up our Y membership.  So... I'll keep pressing on.

In other news, this weekend is the 2012 Olympic Track and Field Trials and I'm somewhat interested in the outcome of the women's marathon.  It's incredibly to watch those athletes push themselves so hard to accomplish what most of us see as unattainable.  There are women there who are just regular people (except that they've been gifted to be more natural runners than regular people like me) and they are at the trials just to see what they can do.  Only 3 people make the Olympic team so the odds are stacked against many of them.  It's inspiring to see them.

So anyway, if you haven't gotten up and done anything today, now is the time to get up, get moving, get invigorated, and GO!  (I need to quit typing so I can get back to watching play-by-play of the marathon coverage.)
