Trying New Things

My new "thing" is that I need to do some sort of physical activity every day.  For so long, I found myself running 3 or 4 days a week, but I wasn't doing any kind of cross training.  Running was starting to get old and I was dreading it more and more every day.  And I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't have gotten injured during the marathon training if I had been doing more cross-training.  Grrr...  So I've learned my lesson and I am now on day 9 of my new plan.

So what am I doing?  I'm glad you asked.  Here's a little rundown.


Day 1 Jillian Michaels-Shred it with weights (love my new kettlebells!)
Day 2 BodyFlow at the YMCA
Day 3 Run outside
Day 4  Jillian Michaels-Shred it with weights
Day 5  Run outside
Day 6  Group Cycle 45 mins at the YMCA
Day 7  Jillian Michaels-Shred it with weights
Day 8  Group Cycle 60 mins at the YMCA
Day 9  Jillian Michaels-Yoga meltdown (since Oliver got sick and we didn't make it to the Y)

In just over a week, our YMCA membership will be done and I'll have to start doing something in place of the Y.  I'm not sure what it'll be, but I'm always open to suggestions for dvds or other activities.  I start my new job next week so it'll become a little more work to get the exercise in, but I'm determined to do it.  Hopefully it sticks...
