Can you even believe it? I'm on Day 18 of exercising! I'm shocked that I've kept it up for so this long. Granted, it's not all that long. But there have been more than a few days when I wanted to just skip the workout for the day but decided that I didn't want to lose my streak so I did it anyway.
Like today, for instance.
I left at 7am to drop off the kids at their respective daycares and then worked until 5pm. I picked Oliver up and drove home. I had about 20 minutes to eat dinner before leaving to drop Katherine off at her piano lesson before I went to a meeting at preschool for the board and the staff. I got home about 9:15pm and trudged upstairs to change into my exercise clothes so Jillian and I could spend some quality time together. (Note to self, find the hand weights. Doing the strength stuff with a 10lb. kettlebell instead of a 5 lb. hand weight is not easy.)
I think that once next week rolls around and we have a better handle on how the morning routine will work, I might switch the workout to the morning. I just think the evening goes by too quickly if I have to spend some of it exercising. A huge part of me switching jobs was so I could spend more time with the family, so it doesn't make sense to waste that time doing something on my own, right?
For now, I'm just super happy with myself for getting to Day 18. Yippee!!
